|I think working with teens is awesome. They offer so many different challenges. Parenting one can be difficult, but if you are able to consistently give boundaries it will get easier.
I have a 12 yr. old daughter, I wouldn’t say she’s out of control I just don’t know how to deal with the teen years seems to me that she is boy crazy, losing interest in school always muttering when shes told to do something she is too much of a follower not a leader. She was a A/B student now she is b/c/d. Need some advise on IPOD’s shes always on it. I have a short temper and loose it really fast on her sometimes I feel like I’m too hard and sometimes I feel Like I’m not hard enough
One of the most important things for kids is consistency and boundaries. Allowing her to be on the IPOD with restrictions is the worst thing you could do. Not bringing consequences to bear for the bad attitude, school issues etc.. is unwise. You should address those things immediately before they become ingrained. The IPOD and other electronics are privileges not rights.
